New Orleans strikes me as more like a peacock, strutting his bright colors in proud defiance of natural phenomenon. The crescent, as New Orleans is known as the Crescent City, the heart with the musical note in it for the jazz, and a fleur-de-lis as this was King Louis’ emblem (and Louisiana was named for him). May this quilt raise a ton of money!!
