Linda Barraclough - Breast plates for a Modern Boadacea
This bra takes its inspiration from Boadacea, Queen of the Iceni. The detachable broaches are inspired by her armour, and the colours, purple, green and white are those of the turn of the century suffragettes. In the 1960's and 1970's we were burning our bras for women's liberation. Today we embellish them in awareness of women's health.
