This is a bra, embellished out of all proportion, but a bra nonetheless.
It is also a mask.It refers to breasts as objects to be obscured, disguised, away from eyes that perceive them as sex objects.
It negates the real purpose, that of providing nourishment for newborn babies.
It transforms part of the body that may be offensive or threatening to the owner: removing evidence that maturity is coming.
It alters the appearance of something that might be despised because of size or shape into something completely other, something that says, diametrically, look at me.
The half-closed eyes may be saying, come hither, setting up a dialogue within a dialogue.

Far from burning the bra to establish female equality, this celebrates it with a fanfare.
