Samplers, embroidery doodle cloths and explorations of stitches

This sampler stitched on hand painted felt with a combination of hand and machine stitching. It was a little experiment. Scraps of fabric, net, beads and some brass disks and have been incorporated. Stitches used are french knots, Bullion knots, whipped spiders wheel. Threads are silk, wool and cotton hand dyed by me and metallic embroidery threads.
