Seam embellishment stitch combination 17 and 18

These two are also based on herringbone. No 17 is toe rows of herringbone with the crossed sections widely spaced. Either side add bullion roses and across the center tulip stitch.

No 18 herringbone is stretched wide and interspersed with tulip stitches and the same arrangement of three detached chain stitches and two straight stitches topped off with French knots, sequins or beads, that I used in combination number 14.

Both of these seam treatments are based on a foundation row of crossed buttonhole. No 19 is a simple row topped off with two rows of Tulip stitch.

No 20 has a foundation of two rows of crossed buttonhole. You can intersperse the gaps with beads or sequins or arrange straight stitches in a ring. Along the top and bottom I have arranged straight stitches in a ray. French knots, sequins or beads can be placed in the middle to finnish it off. Or you can use tulip stitch on both sides.

This is taking the same idea a little further. It is based on a foundation row of crossed buttonhole with some of the legs extended and angled to form the hills. You can tuck motifs, beads and sequins easily in areas of this arrangement. In this case I have used a daisy motif worked in detached chain and tulip stitch but you could use anything.
