About the Project :

All that Jazz was a fundraiser for survivors of the Katrina hurricane disaster. The aim was to produce a crazy quilts which were auctioned on Ebay in the United States. A total of $1,503.57 was raised with the money going to Baton Rouge Area Foundation / FoundationsForRecovery.org which was set up to help people displaced by Hurricane Katrina..

19 well known crazy quilters were invited to work an 8 inch block. The 20th block is a winner’s block selected by popular vote. Voting took place between the 8th of December 2005 and on the 24th of December 2005 the winner was announced in my blog in a minute ago. The block selected by popular vote for this project is Marty Trahan's beautiful contribution. A larger view is in the gallery.

All blocks were made into quilts. So all blocks contributed raised money for the cause. The Quilt assembler was Annie Whitsed with the aid of Canberra Crazy quilters and I would like to thank them for their generosity to donate their time at this time of the year. I would also like to thank Willa Fuller for acting as seller on ebay on the projects behalf.
