Members of the Southern Cross Crazies discussion group and the Canberra Crazy Qulters, at the First National Crazy Quilt Retreat in October 2004 were invited to decorate a bra in order to raise funds for Breast cancer research. Voting by coin donation determined the winner to be Catherine Byatt's "The Mermaid". A parade compared by Dell Armistead made it a hilarious evening for all participants. Here are the photographs taken by Melody Lord of the 38 bras made for the parade held at the retreat. Some were bras were made for fun while others made statements. All celebrated health and life.
